Our premises include traditional Courts and Tribunal centres, as well as larger Courts and Tribunal Service Centres, based in Birmingham, Stoke, Loughborough, Salford Quays and Newport. As well as premises in large cities including Manchester, Leeds, Cardiff, Bristol and London, we also have locations ranging from the Isle of Wight in the south to Newton Aycliffe in the north.

  • Our Operations Directorate is accountable for ensuring the business is delivered in accordance with the aims and objectives of HMCTS and the MoJ. There are 8 regional business areas across the UK. Each region takes care of the day-to-day services, delivering agreed upon levels of performance and ensuring operational targets are met in jurisdiction.

  • Our National Services Directorate supports users, the judiciary and our colleagues to process cases outside courts and hearing centres. They are responsible for back-office administration of courts and tribunals services, like call handling and management of paper and digital services. Areas such as Civil Claims, Crime, Divorce, Probate, Immigration and Asylum, SSCS, Special Tribunals and Mental Health fall under this directorate. Criminal Fines Collection and Enforcement is responsible for making sure convicted parties in England & Wales comply with fines and other financial penalties.

  • Our Digital and Technology Services (DTS) Directorate support, manage and develop digital services.  They envision a digitally enabled justice system that is simple to use, and adaptable to the changing needs of the communities they serve.   • Our HQ directorates play a key role in supporting all aspects of operational delivery, including monitoring and supporting the business to drive up performance and achieve objectives. Many of our HQ roles are offered nationally, where individuals can work in the location that is appropriate, as outlined in the job advert.

  • The Property Directorate ensures the provision of all property services across the estate necessary to enable the delivery of HMCTS objectives.

  • The CFO Directorate provides a wide range of specialist financial support that directly supports the business.

  • The Human Resources Directorate ensures that we have the workforce, now and in the future, to allow everyone to access the justice system using our services.

  • Our Development Directorate is responsible for national operational policy and modernisation of courts and tribunals.
